Join us @ 5:30 pm PST on 10/26 for a virtual discussion about how tv series impact public perception of crime, racial injustice, and the criminal legal system. BLM co-founder, TV writer, author, artist, and activist Patrisse Cullors will keynote and the panel includes people impacted by the system and people who work on TV shows who will share how writers and showrunners can do better (though if you’re portraying or tackling the prison industrial complex in any form, this should be worthwhile). We’ll end with a reading from the brilliant @rawra.avis. RSVP at www.harvardwood.org/crimetv or email Jess Farris at jfarris@aclusocal.org to RSVP.
